Transaction Science, Inc. operates Smart Byte and its associated domains. This policy covers the byte.transaction.science marketing website. Service-specific data handling — for managed clusters, issuer tooling, and the conformance suite — is governed by separate service agreements.

Marketing Website

On this marketing website, we do not collect personal data. No cookies are set. No analytics or tracking scripts are used. No advertising networks are present.

Fonts & Assets

Fonts are loaded from rsms.me (Inter) and cdn.jsdelivr.net (JetBrains Mono). All other assets are self-hosted.

Server Logs

Our web server may log standard access information (IP address, page requested, timestamp). Logs are retained for no more than 30 days and are not shared with third parties.

Substrate Data

The smart byte substrate is content-addressed and replicated across clusters; a byte's history is, by design, verifiable by anyone holding the byte. The smart byte schema does not bind cryptographic identity to legal identity. Any binding of a byte or a key to a person or entity is performed by an application or a layer-2 attestation service, not by the protocol, and is governed by the terms of that service — not this policy.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to know what data we collect (none on this site), request deletion, and opt out of data sales (we sell no data).

Children's Privacy

This site does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (COPPA) or 16 (GDPR).
